Alternative Contemporaneity: Temporary Autonomous Zones

This large-scale group show was a major transitional exhibition for MOCA, the first after its historic "split" by its Board and the City of North Miami into two museums (the secondary entity becoming ICA Miami). Temporary Autonomous Zones (TAZ) presented works by more than 60 artists responding to themes from the anarchist author Hakim Bey (Peter Lamborn Wilson) on issues of power structures and the nature of authenticity.
